Sip & Scout at Gallery 1401
On a warm May evening, Gallery 1401 invited Chattanoogans to experience our newly updated space and mingle with our friends from The Scout Guide Chattanooga! The Sip & Scout event was an invitation to the community to preview the gallery’s renovations while enjoying “the best of local.”
Located at the corner of Market and Main streets, Gallery 1401 is a landmark feature in downtown Chattanooga. Since its conception it 1998, Gallery 1401 has provided a modern, upscale atmosphere for both local and international artists to display their one-of-a-kind pieces. In addition to an idyllic location and a bright sun-filled space, Gallery 1401 strives to create a classy yet approachable ambience that is perfect for special occasions and community events, such as Sip & Scout.
The Scout Guide Chattanooga is a publication that highlights premier independent businesses in our city, encouraging readers to discover artists, artisans, entrepreneurs, and experts so that they can enjoy their community to the fullest. We love being included in this gorgeous publication among the many other wonderful local businesses that make our home truly special.
“Because the Gallery has had a long-standing presence in the community, we wanted to show that Gallery 1401 is still the same gallery that Chattanoogans have known and loved for years, but now with a new, modern twist,” said Gallery owner, Georgia O’Brien.
Guests enjoyed food and drinks as they wandered the gallery walls, admiring our bespoke collection of contemporary and fine art.
In true Chattanooga fashion, our wonderful neighbors and beloved local vendors partnered with us for the event. We are always happy to support our fellow small businesses, and their unique provisions always add a personal, thoughtful touch to any event.
In addition to delicious wine and beer from Riverside Wine and Spirits and Imbibe Chattanooga, guests also enjoyed St. John’s Restaurant’s unique and refreshing “April Showers” cocktail. The assorted beverage menu perfectly complemented the always-delicious hors d’oeuvres of Alleia Restaurant.
To transform the gallery for the event, The Clay Pot created colorful and bright spring floral arrangements to ornament tables from Chattanooga Tent & Event Solutions. As expected, V. Love Events’s professional staffing services made the event flow seamlessly.
We love any occasion to partner with The Scout Guide and the other unique makers that are represented in their publication. Chattanoogans share a common value of supporting the small businesses that make our city unique, and we appreciate being a part of that inner circle. Gallery 1401 is proud to provide a space for artists and creators to not only display their works, but also to meet and mingle with other Chattanooga purveyors, influencers, and patrons.
