Daud Akhriev

In 1959, Daud Akhriev, was born in Kazakhstan and was raised by his two artist parents.  Akhriev began to explore his passion for art at a very young age.  After many years of studying techniques and methods at the Repin Institute in St. Petersburg, Russia, Akhriev earned his master’s degree.   His involvement in painting led him to later pursue a career in the world of fine art.   Akhriev follows in the traditions and footsteps of the finest figurative artists the world has ever known.  In each canvas, Akhriev incorporates classical style along with Impressionist, realist, and neo-Surrealist.  Refusing to be tied to one culture, Akhrievs’ work reflects much of his memory and family turmoil. Because of Akhriev’s global and cultural awareness, he has been able to capture the essence of a human in a portrait, and the beauty in an Italian landscape like never seen before.  His rich use of color and extreme attention to detail demonstrates his connection with the past and the future.

Akhriev became a resident of the United States in 1991.  Daud Akhriev has traveled thoroughly throughout Russia, Switzerland, Italy, France, and the United States.  Daud Akhriev has exhibited his work in Russia, Switzerland, London, Norway, Colorado, New York, and Tennessee.
